Palma Airport is serviced by a number of flights from several UK (and other European)
airports. Certainly you should be able to find some good prices, particularly over the net. Click on any of these for direct access to the Palma flight page.
You book direct with Easyjet which flies from Newcastle, Liverpool, Luton, Gatwick, Bristol & Stansted (as well as Berlin and Dortmund)
British Midland which as BMIBaby flies from East Midlands, Cardiff, Manchester and Teesside
There are other possibilities - your local travel agent or airport may be able to advise you.
Car Hire
There are many choices here, but we might recommend:
Carjet who list a large choice of cars at their website, all available for pickup at a carhire desk in the arrivals hall of Palma Airport. Their site is very informative, and they offer competive rates starting at £90 to £100 per week for a small car. You may reserve through them and pay for the car by Visa or Mastercard when you get to Palma Airport.
Taxis
These are of course available for hire locally, as are bicycles.
It may be worth noting that the hire of a small car for a week will not be hugely more expensive than the cost of a taxi to and from Palma Airport.
